Ozymandias

"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings: Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away.

Lethargy

Hazel and I in Oxford

Pretty Paula from Poznan in Poland

Jazz night in Bar 27, Bridgwater

Can it be some rare tropical complaint or am I just reverting to my historic slothful state? Time will no doubt tell, the hospital has cleared me for possible prostate problems while my GP continues to check out a few other minor symptoms.

Daughter Hazel who has been looking after my house for me while I was away has moved to a new house share in the metropolis of Bristol but at the same time I received an attractive Polish girl, Paula working in Bridgwater for the summer vacation so not all bad! On the other hand her boy friend then wanted to move in as well – never mind they are very nice and polite (and also non-smokers).

I have still not re-adapted to our lavish western lifestyle, all the luxury goods being advertised on the television and sold in the shops, the flashy cars and so many people flying away on several holidays, or “mini breaks” each year.

The wind and the rain of an English summer continue with the temperature barely reaching 20C disappointing my Polish guests since it is 25-30C in their home town of Poznan although they suffer further by working in a food warehouse all day in a temperature controlled environment of 3C
